가족!!!!!! (family) (ga-jeok)--Nov. 23, 2016

eyyyyyy fam. (Pops i forgot Bishop Dietz's email so wanna just forward this to him for me?) Super jelly that I can't see those little 3 nephews of mine. haha. also I see you're eating shrimp. must be nice huh? haha. anyways I'm beyond super stoked for tomorrow cause we have a service project where we're feeding hungry little chillens with an apostle walking around and talking to us and then we have 3 devotionals all with a general authority. SO STOKED. and were singing "come thou fount of every blessing" and that song hits me straight in the tear sacks every time. It's so good. The lyrics remind me so much of my own life and how I'm never turning back to the stranger i was. But yeah! im gonna have like 2 p-days in a row. also Imma be in Korea in 2 weeks boiiiiiiii! I'm also so excited for Saidge to come and experience some awesome spiritual stuff. It's amazing the spirit I've felt this past week. There's a cool talk by Elder Bednar about spiritual promptings and he said "How do I know if it's the spirit, or myself.....quit worryin' about it! Be a good boy(girl), keep the commandments, honor the covenants you've made with the Father, and I promise you that your steps will be guided, you will have utterance, and you cannot go amiss." I just thought that was pretty cool. As long as we follow Him, He will guide us in ways that will be miraculous. Korean is coming along pretty well and I'm gettin to read pretty quick now. I love you all! thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts. <3

안녕하새요!!!--Nov. 16, 2016

Hey fam! what up. I'm doing good here still but i'm gettin a little trunky to leave the MTC haha. Not a lot but I just want to be in south korea and teach and love those people. only 3 to 4 more weeks and im outta heeya. So theres this think called 정 (Jong) which is like a part of korean culture called skin-ship. So like if someone helps you find something they like hold your hand cause youre building 정 cause they're helping you. So if you do anything with them that like builds your friendship it builds 정. It was so funny, brother Watts, our teacher, shared a video with us while he was on his mission to Korea and he and his comp were with an old lady and she's like holding his hand and he said (in korean of course) hey didn't you sell us potatoes on that corner? and she was just like 긓데, 긓데! which is like super low form or like friend form for yeah of course! I just can't wait to have experiences like that. 

I did baptisms for some family names and I was able to actually do the baptism and confirmation. and this old guy came in and I got to do like 10-15 names and confirm them on him. it was awesome! anyways I'm doing great and I love all of you!!! also appy tell Saidge that I CANT WAIT TO SEE HIM AND HUG FAMILY AGAIN!!! I'll be able to be his Korean tutor for a little bit haha. Love you all

DISTRICT LEADER -- Nov 8, 2016

yes, I am the new district leader. haha. I honestly like it a lot! It's fun to be the leader of awesome people! Seriously my district is da bomb. but yeah everything is going well! The language is coming along and my relationship with the Lord is growing closer and closer day by day. I'm very grateful to have the happiness of the spirit with me at all times. I LOVE IT! anyways we had devotionals by Jenny Oaks Baker and her family and they played some awesome songs. we were talked to by the General president of primary as well and she had some awesome things to say as well. I'm way grateful to be able to have those opportunities to be in front of men and women of God. It's so special to be in their presence. I want to emphasize to you all that the companionship of the Spirit is so important. We need to all be worthy of that companionship. I've received a lot of personal revelation here and promptings and I know when I follow through with those promptings, no matter how small, the Lord will bless you with even more feeling of the spirit and even more knowledge that He is there and that He loves all of you. I love you all and from what I hear all of you are doing well haha. I've been praying for all of you. I feel all of your prayers as well. Thank you for them!!!

EYYYYYYYY FAM--NOV 2, 2016

Hey guys! whats up? Mom this is for you - Thanks for that coat that's gonna be super nice! also yes i leave the MTC december 13. and I'm gonna try to see teags at 12:45 thats when hes coming in and im so stoked! seriously it'll be so cool to see him. also yeah long johns would be nice. It's even getting kind of cold (perfect for me) at the MTC. 

Ok so the language is coming pretty quick especially in the past week. I just have to get down more vocab and I can make (almost) any sentence I want!!! It's pretty awesome and you seriously have to conjugate for every single thing and the sentence structure is all jacked but i'm getting the hang of it. I just need to memorize verbs and more words. BUT GUESS WHAT Russell M. Nelson came and talked in a devotional and it was so good! He talked about how we need to become "living epistles of Jesus Christ" by having the fullness of the gospel woven into our hearts. He also talked about how us as missionaries are influencing generations yet unborn. He's a way good speaker. when he left and as we all stood, he walked and stopped to look at us all and he blew a little kiss to all of us haha! He seems like an awesome guy. I dont know if you guys know but i joined choir haha. We sang Praise to the Man for Russell M. Nelson and our choir teacher is so awesome. While we rehearsed and stuff he tells the story behind the song and he told some stories about Joseph Smith. I wanna tell you guys one that was way awesome. So Joseph and one of his apostles/friends (i cant remember what one) were walking and Joseph being like well over his 200lbs (he was a pretty bulky and broad chested guy) said to his friend/apostle being about 130lbs "too bad you aren't my weight or we could have a little fun" and his friend said "what's wrong with my weight" and right as he said that Joseph swung his arm under his legs and swept him off his feet and when he did that it totally snapped his friends leg. Joseph carried him to his friends house and laid him down and his leg was completely snapped in half. Joseph felt so bad and kept checking on him. But yeah anyways it was just a cool story in showing that he wasnt just "Joseph Smith the prophet" he was just good ol' Joseph Smith too. What I didn't realize is how jacked he was haha. but yeah everything is going good and I love hearing from you all. Thanks mom for the cookies and stuff you sent me :) those took me instantly back to the kitchen of the house haha. love you all - Boren 장 로 (Elder Boren)
